My co-DJ at people WILL radio DJ AK just hipped me to Jean-Jacques Perrey, whom you probably don't know; but is sampled on his song "E.V.A" by DJ Spooky and Kool Keith; and plenty of other great artists. (see the-breaks.com for more info).
In 1969 he released Switched On Santa with Sy Mann. An all electronic Moog Christmas Album.
